Dean's Office
Tasks of the Dean's Office
The Dean's Office manages the Faculty of Engineering. It takes care of tasks for which the Faculty Council is not responsible. It prepares and implements the resolutions of the Faculty Council. It concludes target agreements with the President's Council and decides on the use of personnel and material resources. The Dean's Office is responsible for the organization of studies and examinations and provides support with evaluation procedures.

In accordance with Section 44 (1) HHG, the Faculty Council advises on matters of fundamental importance
to the faculty. It is also responsible for
- issuing examination regulations and study regulations
- Proposals for the establishment and discontinuation of degree programs
- coordinating research projects
- Proposals for development planning
- Opinions on target agreements in accordance with § 7 para. 3
- Decision on the academic search committee's appointment proposal
- Decisions in accordance with § 25, proposals in accordance with § 26 and appointments in accordance with § 32 para. 4
- Proposals for the establishment and abolition of scientific and technical facilities
- Decisions on the establishment and abolition of working groups
- Regulations on the use of departmental facilities within the framework of the user regulations

The members of the Dean's Office are members of the FBR in an advisory capacity (§ 44 (2) sentence 2 HHG).
The Dean chairs the FBR (§ 44 (3) HHG).
The decentralized study commission is the department's internal committee for the allocation of QSL funds based on the Law for the Improvement of the Quality of the Study Environment and Teaching at Hessian Universities of 15 September 2008 (StudQuVerbG) and the corresponding university statutes(AM No. 962).
The award procedure and the composition of the award committee are set out in §§ 4, 5.
