See you on the Rüsselsheim Campus!
Many young people from Syria are studying in Hesse, and they recently formed an association that made its public debut at the Rüsselsheim Campus. The members want to provide each other with support and encouragement, but they also place great importance on building close ties with all other students as well as their new community in Germany. They proudly showcased their ancient culture, traditional games, musical instruments, home-style cuisine, and many photographs, and their enthusiasm immediately spread to the numerous visitors in the foyer—it was a wonderful celebration!
On Official Business to Kenya (March 2026)
In March 2026, three colleagues from the Facutly of Engineering traveled to the highlands to Eldoret to strengthen the partnership with Moi University. A welcome occasion for this long-planned meeting was the ceremony marking the inauguration of a large solar farm on the grounds of Moi University, Kenya, is strongly committed to expanding and utilizing its renewable energy sources and is working closely with Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts to this end. Moi University, named after Kenya’s first president, is the first university that Kenya established for its own people after gaining independence, and it pursues a highly practice-oriented approach, similar to that of German universities of applied sciences (HAW). The stay was complemented by visits to the DAAD and the Goethe-Institut in Nairobi, as well as a visit to the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM). Here are a few impressions from this inspiring trip.
Our new PreStudyING students have come to HSRM to expand their German skills, prepare for the math, physics, and computer science requirements at HSRM (taught in German), and then successfully transition into an engineering degree program at the Faculty of Engineering.
We know how much courage, motivation, and perseverance it takes to handle all the paperwork and come up with the nearly €12,000 required for the restricted-access account, so we welcome our new international students and wish them a great start!
To bring their goals to life, we took them on their first tour of the laboratories right away and the response was enthusiastic.
