See you on the Rüsselsheim Campus!
International Activities at the Faculty of Engineering
We see ourselves as a cosmopolitan university, and the Faculty of Engineering also considers it part of its educational mission to broaden horizons for both students and members of staff. We aim to create opportunities for our students and staff to succeed and to showcase the wide range of international activities taking place across the faculty.
Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts has its own International Office, which manages the university’s international relations, supports international students and guests, and provides information on study abroad opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. Here, we provide an overview of international activities and initiatives specifically related to the Faculty of Engineering.
Collaborations with International Partner Universities
Some of our international partnerships have existed for decades, and we continue to cultivate them. One of these partnerships is with IUT of Lille in France, which has connected CAD students for over 20 years. Other close partnerships include NAIST and NARA in Japan, where regular exchanges take place, including joint thesis projects. NUST in Namibia is also a long-standing partner with our students working on projects such as solar taxis. We also have a well-established collaboration with Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Finland.
But we are constantly establishing new partnerships, such as our partnership with the German-Jordanian University in 2019 and our collaboration with Israeli universities since 2021. We look forward to many more exciting encounters that enrich our university community and everyday campus life.
You can find an overview of our partner universities here.
International Summer and Winter Schools
Each year, a different department takes the lead in organizing a summer or winter school to promote exchange among international scholars and students. In addition, our own students also have the opportunity to attend summer schools abroad. Check out our winter and summer school posters at Rüsselsheim Campus for more inspiration. Short-term programs are an accessible first step for students who may not yet be ready to spend an entire semester abroad.
