Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts has several campuses. The Faculty of Engineering is located at Am Brückweg 26, 65428 Rüsselsheim am Main. This is where courses are held, and the faculty’s administration offices are located here. You can find a map and various directions on how to get to our campus on the Locations and Campus Maps page. To find detailed bus or train schedules in the Wiesbaden/Frankfurt area, visit RMV or Deutsche Bahn. Deutsche Bahn also offers long-distance train connections throughout Germany and Europe.
In the Faculty of Engineering, you can email the Internationalization Coordinator at any time. In addition, the university’s International Office will provide you with all the information you need to get started at the university. To help you connect with fellow students, the university offers a buddy program where you can meet a fellow student who will support you. In addition, the student union (AStA) and the Faculty Student Committee address the concerns of students at Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

The members of staff at the Student Affairs Office process applications and enrollments and are responsible for many academic administrative matters, including disenrollment. They answer questions about higher education entrance qualifications and handle the admission procedure for degree programs with restricted admission.
As part of the peer mentoring program, our mentors—students from higher semesters—guide you through your first semester (and beyond) and provide insights into what matters most for your degree program and for your studies in general.

Degree Program Administrative Assistant
You can also find the program assistants for each degree program in the program information. This is where master’s theses are registered and submitted. Academic transcripts and program-related certificates are issued, and certificates of ineligibility to take exams are accepted.

Master’s degree in AI and Advanced Information Technologies and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
You may arrive up to about four weeks after the first day of classes (mid-October), as most courses are held online during the first few weeks of the semester. However, you must be on campus by mid-November at the latest, as attendance is mandatory for some courses starting at that time. If you arrive later, you may still remain enrolled and—to the extent possible—make up any missed courses or begin your studies with the courses offered in the summer semester. Courses from the winter semester that you did not attend can be made up in the following winter semester.
Please note that you are required to have health insurance as soon as you become a student. Even if you are still in your home country, health insurance premiums are due starting from the beginning of the semester for which you are enrolled.
Please understand that a determination of your eligibility for the program can only be made during the application process, as HSRM has too many enquiries concerning the program.
Once your application is considered as formally valid, uni-assist will forward it to Hochschule RheinMain. In the course of the application process, your file will be sent to the admission’s board for the master’s degree program you chose. The admission’s board then decides after checking the application documents about eligibility and admission of the candidates. For NC programs like the one you wish to study, there is an allocation process for the study places available.
The winter semester runs from October through March, and the summer semester from April through September. Courses are generally held from mid-October through the end of February (winter semester) and from mid-April through mid-August (summer semester). Online Week takes place shortly before the Christmas holidays. To allow students to travel to see relatives and friends in time, all courses during this period will be held exclusively online. In addition, there will be a self-study period at the beginning of the new year, which is intended for independent study. No courses will be held during this time either. You can find the dates on the university’s website.
Using your HDS login – which you will receive after enrollment but before the beginning of the semester – you can log in to your StudIP account. On the student platform StudIP, you will find information and announcements about you degree program and lectures, such as “Professor X’s lecture is canceled today.”
Use Stud IP to register for courses shortly before the semester begins so you can access all course notes and relevant materials.
Most professors post the lecture materials on Stud IP, while others hand them out during the first lecture. As a general rule, you should assume that all lecture materials are relevant to the exam! If you have trouble accessing the course materials, please contact your peer mentors.
The TeachingLearningCenter offers a UNIcert II program every semester. The certificate awarded attests to a B2+ level. UNIcert II Language Program:
Advance Your English Part 1: Level B1+ (from B1+ to B2) – 4 SWS/5 CP (concurrent with the semester)
Advance Your English Part 2: Level B2 (Consolidating B2) – 4SWS/5CP (as an intensive course during the semester break)
Students who can already provide proof of (lower) B2 language skills on the placement test may begin directly with Part 2.
The B2 final examination takes place at the end of the Part 2 course. Successful participants receive the UNIcert II certificate (cost of issuing the certificate: €25. Participation in the courses and the examination is free for HSRM students.)
