New Applied Engineering degree program
The world is interdisciplinary - and so is our new degree program "Applied Engineering Sciences"! You have the whole range of technical degree programs at your disposal, can deepen your knowledge in a variety of ways, but also look beyond the boundaries of your specialization and implement projects in interdisciplinary teams.
All students start together with the basic technical lectures and network in a practical project, but also get a taste of a specialization. You can also look at several specializations, it's easy to switch! Over the course of your studies, the modules become more and more specialized and you choose whether you want to take a broad/interdisciplinary approach with the supplementary studies or whether you prefer to go into depth in one specialization. All modules can be combined with each other like a modular system.
At the beginning of your studies, you enroll in the one of the ten specializations that interests you the most, but you can change your specialization at any time during your studies. Throughout your studies, you will work together with students from other specializations in various courses so that you can always work in an interdisciplinary way. A large electives catalog allows you to look beyond your own nose and gain a sound insight into other technical disciplines.
Your advantages
- You can switch more easily between different specializations - in the first two semesters without losing CP or time.
- Projects can be carried out across disciplines.
- You can add up to three modules from other specializations to build up a broader knowledge base.
- You can study all specializations on a cooperative practice-integrated basis, Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics also on a cooperative training-integrated basis.
The new Applied Engineering degree program will be offered from winter semester 2026/2027. You will find more information here soon.
