Practical research
Our department combines engineering and scientific expertise. Our research is application-oriented and interdisciplinary.
Our research activities focus on four main topics:
- Sustainable mobility and energy
- Key technologies
- Environmental and medical technology
- Media technologies
Institutes form structural brackets around the various topics of the focus areas and enable interdisciplinary cooperation, both within the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and with numerous partners from industry and science.
In the profile-forming specialization "Engineering 4.0", research activities in the application fields of drive, energy, sensor and communication technology are interdisciplinary networked with the key technologies of microsystems and nanotechnology.
The promotion of junior researchers is of great importance, especially in the context of cooperative doctoral procedures within the department's numerous research projects.
