The field of process engineering deals with the development and optimization of processes for the environmentally friendly treatment of air, water and waste. At our university, students gain comprehensive insights into practical application and research as part of internships in the Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Technology and the Master's degree program in Biological and Environmental Technology.
- Focus on biological and thermal processes for exhaust air purification using pilot plants on a semi-industrial scale to develop resource-saving processes
- Optimization of conventional and innovative wastewater treatment plants, including biological and physico-chemical processes and new sanitation concepts
- Investigation of biotechnological processes, in particular biogas production and soil remediation
The process engineering laboratory regularly offers opportunities to write bachelor's and master's theses. Study projects are also offered, which can be carried out in the laboratory.
