Reverse osmosis system
Reverse osmosis is the most important pressure-operated membrane separation process. The membrane largely retains salt ions and small molecules (particle diameter 0.1 to 2 nm). The semi-permeable membrane can be used, for example, to separate pure water from a salt solution.
In the experiment, correlations between setting parameters and the permeate yield and purity are determined experimentally. -
