Orientation Days for First-Year Students in the Winter Semester 2026/27
The Faculty of Engineering at the Rüsselsheim Campus, located at Am Brückweg 26, warmly welcomes its new students for the 2026/27 winter semester.
Monday, October 19, 2026 – 9:00 a.m., Building A, Room 038 (large lecture hall):
9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Welcome address for all
- Prof. Dr. jur. Eva Waller, President of Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Glockner, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Patrick Burghardt, Mayor of Rüsselsheim am Main
- Scuderia Mensa (the university’s student racing team)
- ING Faculty Student Committee
- AStA (Student Union)
- OSCAR (AStA Film Committee)
Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to visit information booths in the foyer to learn about the various services offered by our university.
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Welcome reception for international first-year students in the master’s degree programs
Welcome in English
Starting at 11:30 a.m.: Welcome for first-semester students with a bachelor’s degree in their respective specializations
The specializations offer individual sessions with explanations of course schedules, etc. The exact rooms and times will be posted here shortly. Please also check your program’s website for more information about the schedule.
Starting at 2:00 p.m.: Welcome for all first-semester master’s degree students in their respective degree programs

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 – 9:00 a.m., Building A, Room 038 (large lecture hall):
Introduction to administrative systems, math courses, and details about the basic math placement test
- 9:00 a.m.: Introduction to the Compass exam management program
- 9:30 a.m.: Information on the Study Regulations for all specializations
- 10:30 a.m.: Presentation of all support services in the field of mathematics (Math Media Library, Math Learning Workshops, etc.), including information on the procedure for the online basic math test
- Followed by a campus tour and a program organized by the Faculty Student Committee and AStA
Wednesday, October 21, 2026: Start of regular courses
