Our "Learning+" service allows you to use the Bertramstraße and Rüsselsheim locations even after staffed hours.
In order to use this service, registration is required. As soon as your library account is activated, you can enter and use the library.
Video recordings are made during learning+office hours for security reasons. The video recordings are encrypted and are only read out if an incident occurs that makes it necessary to intervene for legal reasons (e.g. theft or damage to property). The video data and access data (library card number and time of entry) are stored on a server at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and are automatically deleted at the end of the fourth working day after storage (after 96 hours). This period is extended by public holidays in order to ensure that the recordings can be retained for a sufficient period of time in the event that evidence needs to be collected.
If viewing the video data in the course of gathering evidence confirms the suspicion of a criminal offense or the violation of the library's user regulations and the regulations for learning+operation, the recordings will only be deleted after the resulting criminal/offense prosecution has been completed, at the latest after three years. This also applies to the access data of the person/persons concerned.
You can revoke your consent to video recordings at any time. (Email to the address: service-hlb[at]hs-rm.de). As a result, you will no longer be able to use the Lernen+ service. Further information on data protection can be found in our privacy policy.
- During the Learning+ office hours, the provisions of the user regulations of the RheinMain University and State Library and the house rules of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences continue to apply.
- No other persons may be taken into the library.
- If you notice an incident (theft, vandalism, etc.), please report it to the security service on site (see notice board for telephone number) and to the library(service-hlb@hs-rm.de) as soon as possible, but within 48 hours.
- Media can be borrowed and returned at the machines.
- Overdue fines can be paid at the checkout machine.
- Reference holdings (marked with "Nicht entleihbar" or a red adhesive strip over the signature label) may only be read in the library.
- The higher education institution must be left immediately after the last announcement (5 minutes before closing time).
