III Purpose and legal basis of data processing
According to Article 5(1)(a) and (b) GDPR, personal data must be collected lawfully for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes.
According to Article 4(1) GDPR, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
1. purpose
Your personal data will be processed for your registration and participation in Lernen+ at the RheinMain University and State Library. This gives you the opportunity to use the library outside regular opening hours without staff being present. During this period, video recordings will be made for security reasons.
The video recordings are encrypted and are only read out if an incident occurs that makes it necessary to intervene for legal reasons (e.g. theft or damage to property).

Your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR and Section 4 HDSIG.
IV Storage period
Your personal data will be stored in the automatic ticket system of the University and State Library for the duration of the processing of your purchase proposal or for a maximum of 2 years.
V. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you
1. right to information
You can request information about your personal data processed by us.
2. right to rectification
If the information concerning you is inaccurate, you can request a correction.
3. right to erasure
You can request the erasure of your personal data if your data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
4. right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
5. right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of data concerning you.
6. right to withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Such a revocation affects the permissibility of the processing of your personal data after you have given it to us. The permissibility of the processing of your data up to the time of your revocation remains unaffected.
7. right to lodge a complaint
