Would you like to find out what services your HLB offers? Do you want to write term papers or your thesis and don't know where to find scientific literature? Would you like to find out how to use AI in your research? Then you've come to the right place!
In this session, you’ll receive a basic and practical introduction to (text-)generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and learn about various ways to use them:
- Introduction to AI tools and how they work (including prompting)
- Possible applications and limitations of AI tools
- Tutorials and tips for everyday use

As a supplement to our course “Literature Research for Seminar Papers and Theses,” we’ll show you various AI-powered research platforms (we plan to cover Ai2 Asta, Consensus, and Elicit) that you can use to supplement and enhance your search for academic sources.
After attending this session, you’ll understand how each platform works, be aware of the tools’ specific features and limitations, and be able to decide whether you’d like to use AI-powered research tools in addition to your current research methods.

In collaboration with the IWIB and the Teaching and Learning Center at HSRM, we’re offering university staff the opportunity to attend a workshop where they can learn about HSRM’s AI platform, KI@HSRM, and effectively integrate it into their daily work. We’ll show you effective strategies for optimizing prompts, and together with your colleagues, you’ll apply these strategies to implement practical use cases. By the end of the workshop, you will have developed practical prompts that you can put to use right away. Prior knowledge is helpful, but the workshop is primarily aimed at people with little to no experience.

Inspired by your feedback on our continuing education program “Using AI in Everyday Work,” HLB is offering members of university administration a platform—as part of the new online format “HLB KImpuls”—to learn about and discuss the latest developments in the field of AI. No prior knowledge is required—just a willingness to discuss the topic with others.
Interested? Then feel free to complete the registration for our Stud.IP event. There you’ll find the login details for the event, as well as all upcoming appointments. You can also use this space to note any questions that come up between sessions, and we can share files with additional information for everyone. “HLB KImpuls” takes place once a month, every Tuesday at 11:15 a.m., and lasts no longer than 45 minutes. The next appointment is on August 11, 2026.
Would you like to try out AI tools yourself and learn more about their capabilities and limitations? In this workshop, we’ll explore AI tools and demonstrate how they can be used in everyday life, and there will be an opportunity for group discussion
