Research
The laboratory is networked with other IMtech laboratories, especially those for technical optics, vacuum technology and spectroscopy. Their potential, in terms of equipment, measuring methods and know-how, is utilized in projects as well as in courses.
Micro- and nanostructuring processes are playing an increasingly important role in industry, whether in research or production, or in connection with new materials or functions. The Physics department regularly carries out R&D projects, whether with other university partners, with industrial companies, research institutes or on its own initiative.
These projects are interesting for students, as they can provide valuable professional experience, for example as a working student, graduate research assistant or project employee!
More detailed activities can be found on the homepage of the Institute of Microtechnologies.
