VPN

In order to be able to use a large part of HLB's electronic services outside the campus, members of Hochschule RheinMain must establish a VPN connection. There are various ways to do this, depending on the end device or operating system:

 

Install:

 

Windows & MacAndroid & IOS

Please only use this software for VPN access in the version provided on our download servers. This is the only way to ensure smooth support. If necessary, employees should contact the ITMZ or the administrators of their faculty.

Current instructions for the VPN app for Windows & Mac

To use the VPN access on Android devices, the installation of the app "Check Point Capsule VPN" is required (available in the Google Play Store). iOS users please install the app "Check Point Capsule Connect" (available in the App Store).

Current instructions for the VPN app for Android & iOS/iPadOS

Users with Linux systems must use the WebVPN solution, as the manufacturer does not offer suitable software for these systems.

 

Use VPN (please follow the order exactly):

 

Windows & MacAndroid & IOS

Only necessary once: Install the VPN app

  1. Establish a VPN connection
  2. Reopen web browser and delete cookies in the settings if necessary
  3. Call up the desired online media

  2. Call up the desired online media
