Between future tasks and a new degree program

The Faculty of Engineering presents itself at the vocatium 2026 in Mainz

On two days at the end of April, the Faculty of Engineering at Hochschule RheinMain - University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSRM) presented itself at the vocatium, a trade fair for training and studies, and met with great interest. The dedicated trade fair team held numerous discussions with visitors and recorded a strong influx and noticeable enthusiasm for the faculty's new programs.

The new degree program Applied Engineering which will start for the first time in the 2026/27 winter semester. The new Bachelor's degree course starts in October 2026 and attracted a great deal of attention from trade fair visitors with its practical and individual profile.

Engineers shaping the future

Another highlight were the two presentations by Prof. Dr. Peter Dannenmann, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Maria Wiesmann, interim professor of Controlling and Accounting, on the topic of "Become part of the solution - engineers are changing the world". They showed how engineers can actively contribute to the future challenges of our time and use their knowledge to solve important issues facing our society.

Overall, the faculty's presentation was a complete success and a successful example of the faculty's strong presence at vocatium. A big thank you goes to the entire trade fair team for their great commitment and fantastic efforts on site.
