Raum für Erlebnisse
Exhibitions in the Rheinstraße Library until November 2025:
"3D printed art from the HLB"
3D printing transforms digital models into tangible objects - layer by layer. This opens up new possibilities in research, teaching and creative work: from prototypes to learning models.
Want to try it out for yourself? The HLB also offers 3D printing workshops!
"Frankfurt skyscraper views"
Frankfurt is known for its skyline - but its true character is revealed in the details. This photo exhibition focuses on the often overlooked structures, patterns and perspectives of Frankfurt's high-rise architecture.
Discover the city anew - from unusual angles, between glass, steel and shadow.
We look forward to your visit!

Exhibition in the Rheinstraße Library from December 2024 to May 2025:
The collection of local history researcher Otto Stückrath (1885-1968) was extensively restored in 2022 with funding from the Coordination Office for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage (KEK), the state of Hesse and the library's own funds; selected items from it are now on display.
Around a ton of mostly browned and therefore highly endangered paper was deacidified, cleaned and repackaged in a mass process and thus saved from decay. Over 50 linear meters of material, from election posters and beer mats to love letters, document everyday life, especially in the 19th and early 20th centuries in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area (formerly Nassau).
Stückrath was interested in music, religion, leisure, language and sociability, especially in the countryside. His work "Nassauisches Kinderleben", which was digitized as part of the exhibition, set standards here throughout Germany.
