Lively, informative and with numerous new perspectives - this is how the career information event "FLS & Friends", which took place at Friedrich-List-Schule Wiesbaden on March 24, 2026, presented itself. A total of 25 speakers from companies, universities and institutions informed the students about the many different paths available to them after their Abitur.
As part of the "FLS & Friends" careers information event at Friedrich-List-Schule Wiesbaden, Dr. Maria Wiesmann presented the new "Applied Engineering" degree program from the winter semester 2026/2027 on behalf of the Faculty of Engineering at Hochschule RheinMain, arousing great interest among the Year 12 students.
Interactive presentation inspires young people
The event was well organized and also impressed with the smooth transition between the two time slots. The two 40-minute presentations were attended by almost 20 students, significantly more than the originally planned small groups of 10 to 15 people. The great interest was not only evident during the presentation, but also in the numerous questions and discussions afterwards.
The presentation was designed to be interactive and lively, so that the young people were actively involved and gained a clear insight into the content of the course. The flyers and postcards provided sold like hot cakes.
Personal setting for degree course presentation
The "FLS & Friends" event offered practical insights into various academic appointments and study paths after Abitur. In addition to traditional programs, the event also presented cooperative training occupations, cooperative degree programs and other orientation opportunities. Hochschule RheinMain was represented with its programs and was able to present the new degree program in a personal setting.
The HSRM would like to thank Jochen Schalon from the Friedrich-List-Schule for organizing the event and for the kind invitation. Further insights into the FLS & Friends information day can be found on the homepage of the Friedrich-List-Schule.
