On August 26, 2026, the NextGen Global Meetup took place at the Rüsselsheim Campus of Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts. About 30 participants gathered to discuss current economic issues, management topics, and global challenges.
The event was organized by Maria Wiesmann in cooperation with the alumni and support association AuFING e.V., the Frankfurt Junior Chamber, SUMMERSCHOOL 2026, and contributors to the Future Conference 2026. International students and students from Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts were also in attendance and enriched the event with their diverse perspectives.
Focus on Sustainability Goals
The focus was on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants received extensive information on the individual goals and discussed how they can be implemented in practical experience—particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Another specialization was on international exchange. In open discussions, experiences, ideas, and perspectives from various countries and faculties were shared. This led to interesting discussions and new connections.
Fruitful Discussions with Valuable Insights
The event stood out for its pleasant atmosphere, lively exchange, and diverse insights on sustainability, the economy, and international cooperation. Over a delicious meal, participants were able to delve deeper into the discussions and bring the evening to a close together.
