moveBonn Pendelreport

Project name:moveBonn - Pendelreport (Commuting report)
Faculty:Architecture and Civil Engineering
Head:Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Bruns
Duration:09/2026 - 05/2027
Financing institution or client:Federal City of Bonn

The moveBonn program (formerly JOBWÄRTS) of the Federal City of Bonn has the goal of promoting Corporate Mobility Management (BMM) among employers in Bonn.

With currently over 40 participating companies with a good 60,000 employees, moveBonn is currently one of the most comprehensive examples of systematic and comprehensive promotion of "Kooperativem Betrieblichem Mobilitätsmanagement" ("Cooperative Company Mobility Management") in Germany.

This Pendelreport project involves the regular empirical measurement of the program's impact. The focus of the surveys is the measurement of changes in the choice of means of transport and their attribution to BMM measures.

The measurements consist of

  1. Cross-sectional surveys (full surveys, n per wave approx. 10,000) at the companies, in which the changes within a year are surveyed.
  2. A panel in which intrapersonal changes can be tracked across all waves.
  3. In addition, qualitative interviews were also conducted in 2022 in order to be able to substantiate statements on the causality between BMM measures and behavioral changes.

Since 2021, the Mobility Management department at Hochschule RheinMain has been conducting annual impact measurements ("commuting reports"). The current project order covers waves 5 (2025) and 6 (2026).
