Project description

The starting point for the project is the need to optimize university-related mobility and the associated choice of means of transport for training and work. This necessity is linked to increasing student numbers and necessary construction measures. The goal of the HMM process is to strengthen public transport while at the same time reducing the number of private car journeys.

The HMM is divided into two consecutive phases.

  1. The analysis of the current and future mobility needs of the two target groups: Employees and students at the HSRM as well as the mobility offers already available and its potential for expansion. Based on these analyses, a comprehensive mobility management concept will be developed for the HSRM.
  2. The implementation of the concept for a permanent HMM process, monitored by repeated mobility surveys, including impact evaluations.

These objectives will be sharpened and, if necessary, supplemented in the further course of the process.
