Project: Bedarfsstudie zur Elektromobilität bei der hessischen Polizei (Needs study on electric mobility for the Hessian police force)
The background to the project is the decision by the government of the state of Hesse to convert the entire vehicle fleet of the Hessian state administration to climate and environmentally friendly vehicles by 2030 in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from official mobility. Against this backdrop, the Hesse police are aiming to analyze the challenges associated with the conversion of the police fleet to electric drives.
The goal of the project is to systematically analyze the various mobility requirements of the police and to derive specific requirements for infrastructure and other resources. In the sense of a basic study,
1. the various service mobility requirements are to be structured and
2. analyzed with a view to the fundamental challenges and possible solution paths.
Building on this, in-depth analyses are to be carried out using the example of the patrol service, which will ultimately enable a quantification of the requirements and the derivation of concrete and future-proof action scenarios.
The study is being carried out on an interdisciplinary basis as part of the RITMO research center at Hochschule RheinMain.
