The state elections in Baden-Württemberg on 8 March 2026 will provide the parties with an opportunity to determine the programmatic direction of future transport policy, and the election results will determine the specific shape of the state's transport policy for the period up to 2031. It will also provide an opportunity to take stock of transport policy in the legislative period that is coming to an end. Knowledge of this balance sheet, the general direction and the concrete projects planned for transport policy is important for civil society organizations involved in the transport sector. This is especially true for the three ADAC regional clubs in Baden-Württemberg.
Against this background, the task of the research project is to gain a valid overview of the key transport issues for the coming legislative period and to analyze the topics in relation to the current general canon of action for transport and mobility development.
