Optimierung der Websocket-Kommunikation bei Echtzeit-Datenübertragung für Smartwatches

Efficient transmission and management of real-time data are critical in modern healthcare systems. This project introduces Connektor, a WebSocket-based service designed to optimize live smartwatch data transfer to a centralized database. It ensures a reliable, low-latency channel for transmitting sensor data, such as vital signs and movement metrics, supporting activity classification models.

The reimplementation of Connektor focuses on structural enhancements, including the evaluation of Rust for performance, Protobuf for data serialization, and JSON Schema for validation. By prioritizing scalability and maintainability, Connektor establishes a robust foundation for advanced data processing pipelines, advancing patient monitoring and early emergency detection within the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences' Smart-Health initiatives.
