SNIB Smarte-Nachhaltige-Innenraum-Begrünung
In the SNIB project, students from RhineMain University of Applied Sciences (Media Management and Computer Science) are collaborating with Geisenheim University (Horticulture) to develop a smart, sustainable solution for indoor greening.
Using advanced sensor technology, the project continuously collects data on air quality, indoor climate, and plant health. This information enables automated irrigation control and targeted plant management, taking into account the specific horticultural requirements of each plant. A key focus of the project is intelligent data management, which involves identifying, analyzing, and ensuring the comparability of relevant metrics.
The overall goal is to visualize the impact of indoor plants on the climate of a room and, in the long term, to contribute to the improvement of working and living spaces.
