New Perspectives on Bike Sharing

Bike-Sharing Conference featuring two days full of inspiration, real-world examples, and personal interactions.

On September 15 and 16, 2026, experts from local governments, transportation companies, academia, associations, consulting firms, and the bike-sharing industry gathered for the sixth Wiesbaden Bike-Sharing Conference. Under the title “Bike Sharing & Co. – What’s Next?”, the conference focused on current developments and future prospects for bike sharing.

Key topics included new service models, municipal strategies, digitalization, financing, and political and planning frameworks. Insights from both practical experience and academia provided numerous points of reference for the subsequent discussions and personal exchanges.

The program was complemented by excursions in Mainz and Wiesbaden. During these, participants gained insights into the meinRad Mainz bike-sharing system, Mainz as a tram city, the possibilities for a mobility transition in Wiesbaden, and the corporate Mobility Management program at R+V Insurance.

The conference was characterized by engaging discussions, diverse perspectives, and an open exchange among speakers, moderators, participants, and sponsors.

The conference was supported by Donkey Republic, Fifteen, INURBA Mobility, nextbike, and Voi Technology.
