The graduates of the bachelor's and master's degree programs in Architecture at Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSRM) presented their final projects together for the first time in a festive setting. Models and plans were on display, reflecting the intensive examination of architectural issues.
Bachelor's degree: House of Health on the Aukammallee
In addition to freely chosen topics, the "Haus der Gesundheit" project on Aukammallee in Wiesbaden was the focus of the Bachelor's theses. The students developed concepts for combining health promotion and maintenance with the areas of recreation, geriatric care and senior living. The results show new solutions for the special requirements of this topic. The work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Georg Ebbing, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mark Fahlbusch and Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Faraneh Farnoudi.
Master's degree: Restoration of the cloister in Eberbach Monastery
The Master's theses were dedicated to Construction in existing buildings using the example of the cloister in Eberbach Monastery. The students developed innovative concepts for the restoration of this historic building. They were supervised by Prof. Christina Jagsch, Prof. Daniel Seiberts and Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Fuchs.
"Stay curious!"
Prof. Dr. Christiane Jost, Vice-President of HSRM, opened the event with words of recognition: "The final thesis crowns the studies." She emphasized the special studio teaching at Hochschule RheinMain and paid tribute to the long, labor-intensive phases that went into the works presented. "You certainly see spaces with different eyes now, and your final projects show that."
Professor Christina Jagsch looked at the graduates with a smile and a tear in her eye: "It's hard to admit you, but we are proud to send you off into your professional lives." Her colleague Prof. Daniel Seiberts emphasized: "We are very happy with the results - Construction in existing buildings is an important part of our future architectural work."
Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Faraneh Farnoudi, who supervised the bachelor theses together with Prof. Dr. Georg Ebbing and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mark Fahlbusch, summed up: "We hope that we were able to help you find an intelligent answer to the questions of the future. Stay curious!"
The vernissage offered the graduates an opportunity to present their work to teachers, families and friends and to toast their successful graduation together.
