The Rhein-Main Institute for Transformative Sciences in Mobility and Logistics (RITMO) has published a comprehensive data set on the acceptance of electric mobility as part of the Electric City Rüsselsheim research project. The publication complies with the FAIR principles and ensures findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable data. They are now publicly accessible. Interested scientists, authorities and citizens can access the research data and accompanying documents via the specialist repository FID move.
Insight into the research project
Within the Electric City Rüsselsheim research project, Dr. Margarita Gutjar and Prof. Dr. Matthias Kowald collected the accompanying socio-economic research data. Their focus was on a comprehensive population survey in the Rhine-Main region, which examined the mobility behavior and attitudes of the population towards electric mobility.
The core question of the study was under which political price regulations residents are willing to integrate an electric vehicle into their household fleet. The study also provides information on the population's preferences when it comes to the configuration of charging stations. The publication of the research data concludes the work.
The results are based on decision experiments and provide valuable insights into the needs and wishes of the population with regard to electromobility.
Support with the publication
The preparation and publication of the research data was facilitated by the support of Dr. Judith Dähne, speaker for research data management.
