The project "Neue Mitte Wallroth" was brought to the faculty of Architecture at the university via the BDA Hessen and worked on during the winter semester under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. The goal was to develop creative and viable ideas for the redesign of the town center of Wallroth (Main-Kinzig district) as part of the first constructive design project (WP-A).
Over the course of the semester, a group from the community of Wallroth visited the university and exchanged ideas with the students. Together they decided not only to present the finished designs at the university, but also to present them directly to the public in Wallroth.
This presentation took place on March 30 in front of representatives from the municipality of Wallroth and the town of Schlüchtern. An external jury awarded prizes to four particularly impressive pieces of work.
Anastasia Hermenau won first prize (800 euros) with a design that particularly impressed the jury with its convincing implementation. The designs by Lena Bickert, Lia Marie Schmitt and Caroline Stein were each awarded second prize (400 euros each).
