Marie Kremski, graduate of the Media: Conception & Production bachelor's program and the Creative Media Conception master's program at the RheinMain University of applied Sciences (HSRM) won first prize in the category of Young Professionals at the 34 edition of the Hessian youth media festival visionale 2022. She directed, produced and wrote her interactive media project "Kamerafabrik Wirgin“. This final project was funded by the Hessian fund HAB Hessen. "This kind of project usually requires a large team – Marie Kremski did it all on her own“, commented the jury. The award was presented on Sunday evening at Gallus Theater in Frankfurt.

The judges chose 24 projects among 51 films and media projects by Hessian kids, youths, young adults and students under 27 that were presented from 25-27 November 2022. This year's visionale jury members were teacher and media pedagogue Murat Alpoguz, student and filmmaker Asra Jones, media pedagogue Daniel Schüller, filmmaker and media pedagogue Ulrike Stumpp, film, visual media and digitalization advisor at Kulturamt Frankfurt Svetlana Svyatskaya, media pedagogue Dirk Wenzel and film promotion advisor Dilan Yildirim.

Innovative and groundbreaking film project

The jury based its decision on the innovative, groundbreaking and convincing power of Kremski's project. "The topical discovery is followed by a sensitive and meticulously researched realization full of infectious curiosity drawing in anyone who sees it. The film brings to life a piece of history of the city of Wiesbaden and has a great future ahead that we will pursue with pleasure“, stated the judges.

Kremski's film may soon run at the open-air museum for film and photography history at the Hessenpark. Currently, Marie Kremski is working as project assistant for Global Design & Media CoSpace at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.
