DAAD scholarships
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is an association supported by German universities. It is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students and academics. The DAAD promotes the internationalization of universities, strengthens German studies and the German language abroad, supports developing countries in establishing efficient universities and advises decision-makers in education, foreign trade and development policy.
The budget comes mainly from federal funds from various ministries, especially the Federal Foreign Office, from the European Union as well as from companies, organizations and foreign governments.
At the DAAD you will find comprehensive information about individual countries and their educational systems, various stays abroad, helpful tips and much more, as well as a scholarship database.
DAAD scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic qualifications and personal suitability. They are available to fully enrolled German students as well as German graduates, doctoral candidates and doctorates from state or state-certified universities. Under certain requirements, persons with foreign citizenship can also be included in the funding measures. Please refer to the DAAD website for more information.
You can use the DAAD scholarship database for a targeted search for a DAAD scholarship.
