Cooperations
Today's pupils are tomorrow's students
To ensure a successful transition from school to university, Hochschule RheinMain has been working for many years with around 180 schools in the Rhine-Main region and beyond to provide studies and career counseling.
From Bebra to Spessart and from Rheingau or Rheinhessen to far beyond Hanau, we are primarily in contact and exchange with general secondary schools and vocational schools (vocational secondary schools, technical colleges, higher vocational schools).
We now also have good relationships with (German) schools abroad, such as the German School in Athens, whose students and teachers regularly visit us once a year.

Cooperation agreements with schools
We work most closely with our partner schools, with whom we have individually negotiated agreements in order to offer their students activities that match the respective school profile or academic appointments. One of the oldest collaborations is with the Carl-von-Ossietzky School in Wiesbaden, with which we have maintained a lively partnership since 2016.

School joins higher education institution
In order to convey as authentic an impression of university life as possible, we also invite pupils to events at the HSRM. This allows them to gain a different perspective on higher education institutions outside of school. Our university information day HIT as well as open days of individual faculties or special project days provide insights that broaden horizons and increase decision-making competence for a later choice of academic appointment.
Events at a glance

Higher education institution goes to school
Schools inform their sixth form students about possible career paths. The speakers from Hochschule RheinMain are welcome guests at the annual study and career information days held at schools. They support the schools with study and career counseling either by presenting individual programs or with workshops on general topics related to studies, which are conducted by the Student Advising team.

Network
In addition to schools as our main contacts, we work together with other institutions that are interested in providing pupils with good information for their later choice of studies and career. These include, for example, the VDI Rheingau for those interested in STEM subjects or the Bündnis SchuleWirtschaft when it comes to the Hochschule RheinMain as a training institution for dual vocational training.

MathForum
The MatheForum Schule-Hochschule was founded in 2016. The commission of mathematics teachers from Hochschule RheinMain and mathematics teachers from surrounding schools jointly developed a minimum requirement catalog for mathematics knowledge.
This is available to students and teachers who want to know what mathematical knowledge is required in the respective department. The minimum requirement catalog was coordinated with other higher education institutions in Hesse and expanded accordingly.

Early studies
Close cooperation between schools and Hochschule RheinMain is of fundamental importance during the early study program for particularly high-achieving students. The early study program takes place during school hours. Pupils take part in regular courses, which can also be completed with the corresponding examination. Examination results can be credited towards later studies at HSRM.

"If you want to get a taste of higher education institutions while you're still at school, early studies are the best way to do it. Of course, this is also welcome on your resume."
