Around 60 exchange students from abroad will attend the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM) during the summer semester of 2023. Yesterday, Dr. Martin Lommel welcomed them at HSRM's main campus, the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring Campus in Wiesbaden. “It is a great honor for us to welcome you here!” said the Chancellor of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. “Studying at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is a good decision”. The chancellor emphasized the practical orientation of HSRM programs, underlined the attractiveness of the Rhine-Main region and urged all exchange students to explore it. Chaeun from South Korea, who will be attending the Wiesbaden Business School, is excited to explore other European countries from Wiesbaden. One of the reasons she chose HSRM was its central location within Europe.

Seventeen nations participate in Backyard Olympics

The International Office team that supports exchange students on their way to HSRM and during their stay at the university also welcomed the new exchange students and started out the afternoon with a couple of games. It was a great opportunity for the students from seventeen countries to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, they enjoyed some culinary specialties from Hesse and had some time to chat. Luckily, the sun was shining, so the Backyard Olympics took place outside on the campus grounds, including the award ceremony. The exchange students showed team spirit and dedication during the competition, a good starting point for a wonderful time together at HSRM. A guided tour of the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring Campus rounded off the day.
