An exhibition presenting designs by students on the Architecture | Building Revitalization and Transformation master's degree course at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences opened with a celebratory vernissage at Loftwerk Wiesbaden on 14 October. The focus is on ideas for a possible dance house for the Hessisches Staatsballett (Hessian State Ballet).
Architecture for dance
In the Master's project "Transformieren", students under the direction of Prof. Andreas Fuchs, Nils Fröhlich and Jan Kedzielawski developed architectural concepts for a new rehearsal and meeting place for the Hessisches Staatsballett. The former Sportarena department store in Wiesbaden's city center served as the design location.
The works presented show a variety of perspectives on how the spatial needs of a dance company can be translated into contemporary architecture.
Exhibition at Loftwerk Wiesbaden
The exhibition can be seen from October 14 to 25, 2025 at Loftwerk Wiesbaden (Langgasse 20, 65183 Wiesbaden). Visitors can discover the students' models, plans and visualizations and engage with the architectural visions for dance.
The exhibition's office hours are from Tue. to Fri. from 11 am to 6 pm and Sat. from 11 am to 2 pm.
