Digital student ID card

The StudentCard will be replaced by the digital student ID card starting in the winter semester 2026/27.

The digital student ID card will be available through the hsrm app. You can find all the necessary information about downloading the app here.

The following applies to all students, especially first-year students starting in the winter semester 2026/27:

Without activating your HDS account, it will not be possible to download the hsrm app from the App Store. Please activate your HDS account as soon as possible and check your student email inbox regularly so that you do not miss any important information about the introduction of the app.

Please check this page regularly for updates on the implementation to ensure that you have access to the digital student ID card at the beginning of your first semester.

The StudentCard of students who were already enrolled before the winter semester of 2026 will remain valid until March 31, 2027, after validation. In the cafeteria, students can identify themselves using a QR code generated in the app. As a transitional measure, the StudentCard can also be used for this purpose until the end of 2026.
