Application and enrollment
Enrollment (enrollment)
Enrollment takes place by first entering the data required for the enrollment application online on the application portal.
Enrollment can be denied in accordance with Section 63 (2) of the Higher Education Act of the State of Hesse in conjunction with Sections 1-4 of the enrollment statutes of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences as amended if applicants do not observe the form and deadline of the enrollment application, i.e. the application is submitted late or incomplete.
Please note: The enrollment application is valid for enrollment in the first regular semester of study.
If you have already completed a number of credits, we recommend that you apply for a higher regular semester of study at the same time. In this case, your achievements will be checked for creditability during the application process and you may be able to enter a higher regular semester of study.
Submit your enrollment application by the specified deadlines at the latest. These are preclusive time limits, so applications received later will not be considered. Pay the semester fees into the account of Hochschule RheinMain.
Enrollment must be rejected if, among other things, your application is received late, the proof submitted does not meet the required form or content, or a preliminary, intermediate or final examination for the desired degree program has been definitively failed.
As the volume of applications is particularly high at the end of the deadline, it cannot be guaranteed that you will be enrolled in time before the start of lectures and that you will receive your access data to the higher education IT systems at the start of lectures if you submit your application late. You should therefore submit your enrollment application as early as possible.
In absolutely exceptional cases, the higher education institution may be forced to shorten the enrollment period for a degree program if it becomes clear that the number of enrollment applications is so high that a proper study environment can no longer be guaranteed with further enrollments. Corresponding information will be published on the homepage of www.hs-rm.de or on the online portal.
Before you can enroll in an undergraduate NC degree program, master's degree program or a higher regular semester of study, you must go through the application process. All information on this can be found under the keyword "Application with German academic transcripts".
If you have received an admission letter that you wish to accept, you must enroll in the program within the deadline stated in the notification. The admission letter will become invalid if the supporting documents are not submitted to the Admissions Office within the specified deadline.
For enrollment, you enter the required data on the application portal(https://bewerbung.hs-rm.de/) under the button "Apply for enrollment". This will provide you with a pdf enrollment application. In the next step, this must be uploaded to the application portal together with the supporting documents in order to submit the enrollment application. The application is therefore submitted purely online.
Simultaneous enrollment in two degree programs at HSRM is only possible if
- at most one of the two degree programs is with restricted admission (= an NC degree program) and
- they are not comparable degree programs (see below for definition of comparable degree program).
Simultaneous enrollment in more than two degree programs at Hochschule RheinMain is not permitted.
Simultaneous enrollment in two degree programs at Hochschule RheinMain and another German higher education institution is admitted as long as they are not comparable degree programs (see below for definition of comparable degree program).
Simultaneous enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program and a Master's degree program is admitted for a maximum of one semester, regardless of whether there is an admission restriction for one or both degree programs, if the admission regulations of the Master's degree program provide for enrollment subject to proof of the Bachelor's degree.
Definition of comparable degree program: Two degree programs are comparable in terms of content if they can be assigned to a common subject group according to this classification table.
Information on the revocation of enrollment can be found in the information on disenrollment.
