What is it?
Insurance & Finance (B.Sc.) is a degree program developed in close cooperation with the insurance, banking and finance industries, which offers students a sector-oriented academic education with excellent career and development opportunities.
The degree program provides students with a basic education in business administration and focuses on the specific teaching content of insurance, banking and finance. The main focus is on the insurance industry, thus creating a unique selling point for the degree program in the Rhine-Main area and a special status in Germany as a whole.
Due to the high degree of relevance to the labor market, graduates of the degree program are met with a high level of demand from the insurance industry, management consulting and auditing sectors as they embark upon their careers.
The degree program is based on general business administration training, which is supplemented by further insights into the functional and methodological features of economic activity in insurance, banking and finance companies as well as quantitative methods and elements of risk management and management in the fields of insurance, banking and finance.
Another special feature is the mobility window in the 5th semester, which offers students the opportunity to spend a semester abroad as an integral part of their studies.
The required elective subjects and the courses offered by the Language Center enable students to acquire additional qualifications. In the penultimate semester of their studies, an internship provides the opportunity to establish initial contacts with potential employers, which will be of great assistance as graduates enter the professional world.

What can I do with it?
Upon successful completion of your studies you will be a qualified business economist for insurance and financial services / banks. You will be well prepared to support the management in insurance and integrated financial services companies at various managerial levels and, after an appropriate induction period, to take on management responsibilities yourself.
