On Tuesday, Prof. Dr. Christiane Jost welcomed around 40 international exchange students that will study at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM) this winter semester. “I am very pleased to be able to welcome you today in person. Communication is the basis of all our relationships – it makes a great difference whether we build them digitally or in person” emphasizes the Vice-President for Studying, Teaching and International Affairs. “Your stay at this university will enrich us and provide fresh perspectives. On the other hand, I hope that you will have memorable and inspiring experiences as well.”

Antoine from France is sure of it. He will spend the upcoming two semesters studying media engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and moved to Rüsselsheim to be close to campus. “This is my first visit to Germany”, he says. “Some of my fellow students and I are connected via WhatsApp and I have already learned some German.” He feels good about his stay even weeks before classes are starting: “The organization of my stay has been great”.

Mingling at Backyard Games Olympics

The International Office helps students finding their way to RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and supports exchange students during their stay. For Tuesday afternoon, Judith Hayer’s team partnered up with University Sports to offer a special program – Backyard Games Olympics and an award ceremony, followed by an open buffet with Hessian specialties.
