WHAT WE OFFER

Good reasons to work at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences – we offer the following benefits:

As a university, we are a place of learning, and not just for our students. RheinMain University of Applied Sciences supports you in the further development of your personal and professional skills. Various advisory services are available to our employees as well as an extensive range of internal and external qualification programs. These services are supplemented by target group-specific programs (e.g. for executives).

We create modern degree programs that qualify young people for working life and support them on their academic path to a professional career. All our employees make a valuable contribution to enabling this every day, whether directly through teaching or through their work in administration. In addition, our academic staff conducts research on important future-facing topics and provides input for the sustainable development of the economy, politics and society.

In order to achieve a good work-life balance, we offer our employees flexible working hours. It is also possible to work on a mobile basis from anywhere in Germany.

RheinMain University of Applied Sciences has held the “audit family-friendly university” certificate since 2007 and has been a member and signatory of the Familie in der Hochschule e.V. (“Family life and academia”) charter since 2022. Employees with caring responsibilities benefit from our flexible and mobile working time arrangements. For employees with children, we offer various services such as flexible childcare, vacation programs or (mobile) parent-child rooms. In addition, they receive a monthly child allowance (public sector employees) or a family allowance (civil servants). Our family service is happy to advise employees on all issues relating to work-life balance and caring for family members.

We care about our employees’ health. The services offered by RheinMain University of Applied Sciences include regular (online) lectures on current health topics, individual advisory services for employees on workplace-related health issues, structured in-house occupational rehabilitation management, and an external Employee Assistance Program that supports all employees and their relatives, anonymously if required, in situations entailing psychological distress, burnout or stress, but also with questions on other topics such as parenting or caring for relatives. Our university sports program offers our employees and students the opportunity to pursue their sporting interests, focusing on amateur sports and fitness: an attractive range of different sports, designed to help you meet new people, take a break from the daily grind and try out new things aside from the workplace.

The university is a place for people to meet and exchange ideas. This is reflected in the various events at our university, such as our annual works outing or the Teaching Day. In addition, we regularly hold interesting presentations in which our scholars provide insights into current teaching and research activities at the university.
