Vita

Marc Stöttinger is Professor of Computer Engineering and Security at Hochschule RheinMain - University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSRM). In addition to teaching and supervising theses and doctoral candidates, he is active in various academic committees and conducts research in the fields of hardware security, post-quantum cryptography, and the security of embedded systems. He is also a member of the SSMT research center (Smart Systems for Humans and Technology) and the PZAI doctoral center (Doctoral Center for Applied Computer Science).

Teaching

He teaches on both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, covering a wide range of topics: from modules that are more hardware-intensive and focused on hardware-oriented programming, through the field of embedded systems, to the subject area of security and cryptography. Research and projects

Marc Stöttinger is highly active in research and is involved in several national and international research projects. His research in the fields of hardware security, post-quantum cryptography and embedded systems security includes work on side-channel and error-injection analysis, countermeasures against implementation attacks, and the migration of cryptographic systems to quantum-secure methods.

Committees and memberships

In addition to his work on research projects, he is active on various academic bodies and serves as a reviewer for academic journals and conference papers. He is also involved in various bodies and committees within the university.
