Short vita

Prof. Dr. Eva Waller has been head of Hochschule RheinMain since January 1, 2021.

Prior to this, she had been Professor of Business Law at the Faculty of Business at Bochum University of Applied Sciences since 2005. There, she became course coordinator for the German-Spanish Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2006, Vice Dean from 2008 to 2010 and then Dean. Since 2016, she has been Vice-President for Studies, Teaching and International Affairs.

Born in Krefeld, she studied law at the universities of Bayreuth and Göttingen after completing her Abitur (German secondary school leaving certificate). In the time between her two state law examinations, she took part in the Joint European Master's degree in Public Administration program at the universities of Speyer, Leiden and Rotterdam. During her member of staff at the Chair of Public Law and Public Commercial Law at Chemnitz University of Technology, she obtained a doctorate with Prof. Dr. Ludwig Gramlich on the international law of regulated public procurement. At RKW Sachsen GmbH in Dresden, she was subsequently responsible for "Management Assistance, Human Resources and Legal Services" until 2005.
