Dr. Bieringer studied chemistry at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and then obtained a doctorate at the University of Bayreuth. She came to RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2008 via Kreiselmaier, who had already started teaching there a year earlier and had thus returned to his alma mater. Kreiselmaier studied physical engineering at the former university of applied sciences in Wiesbaden and wrote his Diplom thesis in the physical chemistry laboratory. He had previously completed training as a physics laboratory technician at BASF.
Both work full-time at Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, a global sealing technology company based in Weinheim, Baden-Württemberg. Kreiselmaier has held the position of Technical Director there since 2017, while Dr. Bieringer has been Vice President for Material Technology since 2020.
"Dr. Bieringer and Mr. Kreiselmaier have been contributing their expertise in the field of materials science to the training of our students in the Faculty of Engineering at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Arts for many years now. We are very pleased to have gained both of them as honorary professors and thus once again illustrate the close connection between practical experience and teaching," says Prof. Dr. Waller, President of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
