The Buddy Program for International First-Year Students & Participants in the Preparation Programs

Are you an international student in your first semester or in the preparatory program, and would you like to meet nice students from higher semesters, discover great places together, and share experiences? Then apply for Buddy Up—our buddy program at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences starting in mid-September.

Through the program, you can make new friends, get to know the region and your new college town, and just have fun! 

How does it work? 

Apply for the 2026/27 winter semester. We’ll then connect you with a student at RheinMain Higher Education Institution (your buddy). You’ll make plans to meet and get to know each other. 
The kickoff events are scheduled to take place on the afternoon of October 26 (in German, in Wiesbaden) and at noon on October 31 (in English, in Rüsselheim). Attendance at one of the two events is mandatory. 
Throughout the semester, we’ll organize many activities and excursions in Wiesbaden, Rüsselsheim, and the entire region for all participants in the Buddy Program. You can take part in these with your buddy or on your own.
