SPECIALIZATION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND MOBILITY

What is it?

Electrical Engineering and Mobility is a specialization of the Electrical Engineering degree program. Electric cars and e-bikes are the talk of the town, convenient driver assistance and telematics systems are part of our everyday lives. Electrical engineering, in combination with modern information technology, provides the necessary key technologies for the development of solutions for the challenges of tomorrow's mobility.
In the specialization Electrical Engineering & Mobility as part of the Electrical Engineering degree program, you will acquire comprehensive skills in the fields of electrical engineering, information technology, automotive, electromobility and energy technology. The specialization offers you state-of-the-art, practical and future-proof training and qualifies you for a wide range of interesting and challenging tasks. Our range of programs is closely linked to our research activities in the field of sustainable mobility. Our Faculty of Engineering’s Formula Student Racing Team "Scuderia Mensa" also offers interesting project opportunities and hands-on training in the field of electromobility.

What can I do with it?

The topic of sustainable mobility presents a central challenge for future generations of engineers. In the specialization in Electrical Engineering & Mobility, students acquire the necessary expertise to work in this field and, after successfully completing their studies, will be able to find qualified and creative occupations in a variety of areas of electrical engineering with a focus on automotive construction, electromobility and innovative mobility systems.

Typical fields of activity are independent project planning and development or the operation or supply of complex technical systems consisting of hardware and software. After graduating, you will have excellent opportunities to find a varied, creative and well-paid position.
