MEDICAL DEVICE TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY

The Medical Device Technology Laboratory hosts research projects that aim to promote the therapy of organ dysfunctions. It has a main focus on early diagnosis and improved monitoring of a range of physiological conditions. In addition, the problem of organ storage prior to transplantation is addressed by development of devices for the assessment of vital organ parameters. Of importance is that oxygenation rate as well as flow resistance change when the organ condition deteriorates. The laboratory provides basic training in biosignal monitoring. Projects in the fields of physiological signal technology and algorithm optimization are also carried out.
