The RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM) and the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz will be cooperating for the bachelor’s degree program in Health Care Economics and the new master’s program Health Care Management. The aim of the practical and scientific cooperation is to provide mutual support by closely linking the education in health care economics at HSRM and the medical-operational practice at the University Medical Center Mainz.

“As a university of applied sciences, we attach particular importance to providing our students with a practical education and are always looking for new, attractive opportunities for cooperation that will further enhance the quality of our training and raise our profile. The University Medical Center Mainz is—not least due to its geographical proximity—a great partner for our two health care economics degree programs in the Faculty of Wiesbaden Business School”, says University President Professor Eva Waller.

“Groundbreaking collaboration”

The cooperation will include practice-related written assignments and final papers, workshops, seminars or other joint events, as well as excursions, job shadowing or internships. “Linking academia and professional practice is a key success factor in understanding and advancing the perspective of our health care economics education. That is why we are very much looking forward to this groundbreaking cooperation,” says Professor Hans-R. Hartweg from the Health Care Economics program, who will oversee the cooperation at HSRM.
