With the Prepare@HSRM and PreStudyING@HSRM study preparation programs, Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSRM) has further expanded its commitment to international prospective students.

The participants were already able to successfully complete their programs in the first round. In the Prepare@HSRM program, they passed the "German as a Foreign Language" test and now meet the language requirements for application to bachelor's or master's degree programs in all faculties at HSRM. The graduates of PreStudyING@HSRM also passed the entrance exam in mathematics and physics and can therefore begin a Bachelor's degree course in the Faculty of Engineering in the summer semester.

In addition to intensive language and subject preparation, the participants got to know student life, took advantage of advisory services and made their first contacts with fellow students and lecturers.

New cohort welcomed

The new cohort successfully started their programs at the beginning of March. Prospective students from a total of 18 countries were warmly welcomed to the HSRM during the introductory week. In workshops, information events and joint activities, they had the opportunity to make initial contacts, network with each other and get to know the HSRM and its programs.

This semester, too, the group is characterized by great diversity. The participants come from different age groups and life situations: Some have only recently arrived in Germany, others have been living here for several years. While some have a direct connection to their school days, others have already completed a Bachelor's degree in their country of origin.

Until the end of the summer semester, the participants will work in five groups on their language and subject-specific qualifications in order to prepare for studies at HSRM.

The PreStudyING@HSRM and Prepare@HSRM programs are part of the "Succeed@HSRM" project, which is funded by the European Social Fund and the state of Hesse.
