On November 18, 2025, the constituent meeting of the external advisory board of the Rhein-Main Institute for Transformative Sciences in Mobility and Logistics (RITMO) took place at Hochschule RheinMain (HSRM). The committee brings together selected representatives from research, politics, business and local authorities. With their broad expertise, they will support the research center as strategic partners in the future and strengthen the transfer of knowledge between science and practice.
The goal of the advisory board is to provide impetus for research, transfer and innovation and to deepen the exchange between science and practical experience.
Kick-off meeting at Hochschule RheinMain
President Prof. Dr. Eva Waller's welcome address was followed by an introduction to the research center and the members of the new advisory board. Vice-President Prof. Dr. Andreas Brensing then presented the university's research and transfer strategy.
At the constituent meeting, the advisory board members elected Benjamin Federmann (MEWA Textil Service SE & Co. Management OHG) as chairman of the external RITMO advisory board. Simone Fedderke (City of Kassel) will act as deputy.
"The external advisory board is an important link between science, practical experience and politics. With its expertise, it helps to focus research on socially relevant issues and to effectively transfer results into practical experience," emphasizes Prof. Dr. Barbara Seegebath.
At the end of the event, participants discussed key challenges and future topics relating to Sustainable Mobility and logistics in a World Café.
