Humans and AI as a Productive Team

This year's 19th Mobile Media Forum focused on agentic AI and human-AI collaboration

Through presentations by renowned companies, participants at the Mobile Media Forum 2026 at Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts had the opportunity to learn about and discuss agentic AI and human-AI collaboration.

University President Prof. Dr. Eva Waller welcomed the guests—some of whom had traveled from far away—to the Unter den Eichen Campus in Wiesbaden. In her opening remarks, she emphasized how “artificial intelligence now influences our lives in many ways,” including at HSRM itself. As a university of applied sciences, HSRM combines theory and practical experience, but also maintains very close ties with the political sphere—a point underscored by President Dr. Walter Fischedick of the Hessian Ministry of Digitalization and Innovation, who was welcomed by the President.

Dr. Fischedick said, “AI has become part of everyday life,” and highlighted not only the economic but also the security and socio-ethical dimensions of the technology. He emphasized that it is crucial for people to reflect on and evaluate the work of AI. Looking ahead to the future of AI and its economic applications, the Director General noted that Germany has a strong small and medium-sized business sector—“we must be aware of that. We have great opportunities!”

Critical Curiosity and Responsibility in the Use of AI

Prof. Dr. Stephan Böhm, who—together with Prof. Dr. Peter Winzer—has been keeping the Mobile Media Forum at the cutting edge for years, shared this positive outlook. His opening presentation focused on the productive perspective. “AI solutions have evolved from prompt-driven assistants to self-organizing agents that can take on specific roles and handle complex tasks. Humans specify goals and context; agents plan and carry out the necessary steps. AI is evolving from an isolated tool into an integrated team member,” said Prof. Dr. Böhm. He noted that AI is already a reality today—for example, generating entire business plans, launching products on the market, planning advertising campaigns, and handling financial control. “Review, validation, and final approval are tasks that remain with humans,” says Prof. Dr. Böhm, who views critical curiosity, transparency regarding AI use, and responsibility for AI outcomes as central elements in dealing with artificial intelligence.

Insights from the Business World

This was followed by additional exciting presentations from the business world. Miro Wilms from the AOE Group, for example, demonstrated how brands remain visible in AI responses to search queries. André Heiner from HEINER.Academy demonstrated how AI agents automate mobile content production. IDA Health, a company from the HSRM startup ecosystem, was also in attendance: Founder Wilfried Talimeta introduced the company, which aims to improve mental health care with the help of AI agents. Niclas Rosteck from a11y design provided insights into how AI enables clear communication for digital services. Other topics covered that afternoon included Agentic AI and human-AI collaboration as new forms of digital communication (Florian Bliesch, adesso), how AI is replacing time as the most valuable resource (Andreas Mertens, avameo), and Vibe Coding—programming code with AI prompts (Serge Reit, YOND). Finally, Mathias Herrmann from ALLEHERZEN spoke about controlling AI agents.

The Mobile Media Forum

For nearly 20 years, the Mobile Media Forum has offered a platform for exchange and networking to people from business, academia, and society, and was spearheaded in 2026 by Jasmin Ebert-Pappert, a doctoral candidate at the CAEBUS Center for Advanced E-Business Studies, who served as project manager. Those interested in the Mobile Media Forum 2027 can register in the event’s LinkedIn group to stay up to date.
