Tax law
What is it about?
Do you want to combine your interest in a degree focused on tax law with plenty of practical experience? Our Tax Law (cooperative) degree optimally combines alternating 13-week phases of study and practice: during study periods, you’ll attend lectures and have enough time for preparation and follow-up work, and during the periods without lectures you’ll apply the theory you’ve learned in your company.
The main focus of the degree is on tax law, along with business studies modules such as accounting and finance, and business law. In your 4th and 5th semesters, you’ll specialize by way of compulsory elective modules in “International tax law” or “Tax compliance/inheritance law”. You’ll also learn everything you need to know about academic work, project management or future skills as part of a university degree.
Particularities:
Thanks to the inclusion of the practical phases, you’ll earn 210 credit points in just six semesters, like an intensive course of study. After the fourth semester, you can also choose to take the exam to become an assistant tax advisor. This will give you an initial vocational qualification before you finish your degree.
Thanks to the strong link to the world of practice in your cooperating company, you’ll gain applied knowledge early on, and a professional qualification which you can use in practice. What’s more, you’ll have a guaranteed income throughout, meaning that for the most part, you’ll be able to finance your studies yourself.
What can I do with it?
This degree will prepare you optimally for working in a tax advisory company, or in the tax department of a private company. You could also embark on a career with the fiscal authorities after finishing your studies.
Furthermore, the degree program will provide you with an excellent preparation for the exam to become a tax advisor, which you can take after three more years of vocational experience.
