Second criterion - improvement of the average grade in the NC procedure
In Hesse, the grade of the higher education entrance qualification (HZB) for degree programs with restricted admission can be improved by the so-called second criterion.
In its statutes for the higher education selection procedure (PDF 147 KB), Hochschule RheinMain has stipulated that completed vocational training should be taken into account as a second criterion. Proof of completed vocational training can improve the average grade of the HZB. Applicants may therefore take part in the admission procedure with a better average grade than that stated on their higher education entrance qualification.
Hochschule RheinMain only considers vocational training that is not part of the higher education entrance qualification. If the vocational training is a requirement for obtaining the university entrance qualification, e.g. vocational training plus one year of technical secondary school, it will not be recognized as a second criterion.
The Dean's Office of Wiesbaden Business School has decided on the grade improvement options listed below for the faculty's bachelor's degree programs.
